Diane Rush
Diane is a "transplanted American' who moved to Britain more than 20 years ago, developed a love affair with St Ives on holiday, and finally moved there to settle 10 years ago.   In the 100-year old artist colony in St Ives, she found a home after a nomadic life of growing up in and then working for the Forces.   Recently she became a British citizen.

She is a painter, printmaker, and psychotherapist.   Her most recent work is called collectively 'Faces'.   They are intense, emotionally powerful images of faces which are both personal and archetypal and are informed by her experience and work in bereavement.   They challenge the viewer to look at and feel the impact of both private and collective psychological states of the human psyche associated with loss.

Working intuitively with process, shape and colour, her inspiration comes from the unconscious.  Her paintings have a dreamlike and emotional quality that depict the world of spirit, soul and feeling.
