Mark Hopper
Mark was born in Redruth Cornwall, and is a full-time professional
Artist living and working in Newlyn.
After various forms of employment, he applied and was accepted into
the Falmouth School of Art, where he was awarded a B-Tec in
Art\Design. He then went on to study at Brighton University,
specializing in painting, and gained a BA Hons in fine
Art\painting.
A fascination for the human face and the role it plays in
identification is the motivating force behind Mark's work. Adopting
the self-portrait as a sound basis, he uses various forms of
mark-making to build up a visual language throughout his compositions. This allows him to break down the elements that
constitute the process of picture making. |
