My work is about light and dark as space and distance, often as if looking through the surface plane to the light behind. 

The monoprints are built up slowly, laying down layers of transparent colour through an etching press, working from light to dark I frequently start with drawings and the memory of a particular place in time, paring down and simplifying through the process, whether painting or printing, until a sense of that moment remains.
