Landscape is the focal point of my work. Replication of a specific view is not the prime concern when detailing a referenced landscape. Evidential remains of human occupation and sustained agriculture coupled with the natural evolution of a tract of land by climatic and geological erosion is the basis for my interpretation of a landscape. Using on-site drawings, photographic and map references as resources an image is developed using layers of translucent oil colours applied over definitive inscribed linear and abraded textural markings. The selling price is inclusive of framing.
