It is with deep regret that we have to announce that Anne Phelps died on February 13th. Anne had been a member of the Society for more than 20 years and was last year elected as a committee member. A highly regarded artist who will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Anne Phelps 
Anne is a painter working and living in West Cornwall. Her earlier career was that of an Art and Craft Specialist teacher. During this period her own work consisted of oil paintings and creative fabric work.  
 
Living and working in West Penwith the subjects she chooses are taken from the harbours, farms and coastal cottages.  
 
Her ideas are based on intense observation outside with her drawing and experimental colour work. Rhythms and patterns in nature influence much of her current work.  
 
She intermittently writes articles for an Art magazine.
